Royal City Rumble & Afterparty

Thursday, November 19th at 6:30PM & 7:20PM


The Event: Intended to be a two-part recon of the Zwift Racing League #7 Points Race (Nov 24th) on the custom Petit Boucle route. The first meet-up, the Royal City Rumble @ 6:30PM, will cover France's R.G.V. course that matches the initial 25km of the Petit Boucle route. With only a slight deviation at 25km, our meet-up turns right and finishes at the Marina Sprint Rev. where the Zwift Racing League event goes left to continue the Petit Boucle route. Our second meet-up, the Royal City Afterparty @7:20PM, on France's Roule Ma Poule course resumes the Petit Boucle route only 600m from where the first meet-up departed the route. This meet-up allows us to recon the 2.9km (@3.6%) climb up the backside of the Petit KOM.


Royal City Rumble: this meet-up will be one for the puncheurs; a tough rider with a fast finish. Repeat Peak Power and the "Aero Boost" Power-Up will be most important for performance. We'll specifically target 3 efforts on course and regroup in between. 

  1. Marina Sprint Rev. - This sprint will mostly serve as a "leg opener" to prime the body for subsequent efforts. We'll arrive at the start of this sprint only 0.8km into the ride.

  2. "Combo Effort" - Starting at Pave Sprint Rev., continuing over the Aqueduct KOM Rev. and finally finishing at the end of Ballon Sprint Rev. In total this is a 6.6km effort that includes 3 timed segments. On approach to the start of the Pave Sprint Rev. all riders stick behind the ride leader for a fair start. We'll regroup at the end of the effort after the Ballon Sprint Rev.

  3. Marina Sprint Rev. - We'll repeat this sprint to finish the meet-up. The Blue Banner indicating the end of the meet-up should be at or just slightly passed the Green Sprint Finish Banner.

Marina Sprint Rev.: (0.19km) Begins at 0.8km*

"Combo Effort": (6.6km) Begins at 11.8km & Ends at 18.4km*

This effort begins at Pave Sprint Rev. (330m)

Includes Aqueduct KOM Rev. (400m, @5%)

Finishes at Ballon Sprint Rev. (320m)

We will regroup at the end of the entire effort.

Marina Sprint Rev.: (0.19km) Begins at 25.1km* Finish: Blue Banner at 25.3*. The meet-up will end approximately at (or slightly past) the Finish Banner of the Marina Sprint Rev.

Royal City AfterParty: this meet-up will be one for the climbers and time trialists. Power to weight (w/kg) and steady effort will be most important for performance. Plus, a well timed "Featherweight" Power-Up could give you a significant advantage.

Start: at Km = 0 (No Neutral)

"Backside of Petit KOM": (2.9km, @3.6%) Begins almost immediately Finish: Blue Meet-Up Banner at 2.9km*. The meet-up will end approximately at (or slightly past) the Red KOM Finish Banner of the Petit KOM.

A few reminders so that things go smoothly:

  • Power Ups are fair game! 

  • No TT Bikes. If you need to change bikes you can do so in the game by going into your garage and selecting a road bike. 

  • Get your warm-up/activation done before the meet-up. 

  • Results will show up when you cross the finish and available when viewing your activity in the Companion App.
